5 Year Meme

I've been tagged by WildernessChic over at Life, the Universe and All That's In It, and seeing how twitter seems to be playing up for me I thought I'd have a go at it.

Q1. Where were you five years ago?

Living at our guest house, along with the customers and t'husband's business partner, wandering what on earth I had let myself in for.   Having, the previous year, given up my house, career, friends & family to fry eggs and clean bogs and have no personal space.  On the plus side we had lots of desposible income and went on to have a fab holiday in the winter to India and the Maldives, unbeknown to us at the time a small boy was forming and getting ready to transform our lives.  We moved out of the Guest House the following July just 2 weeks before giving birth to Joseph and I had a couple of years (career) break from frying eggs and cleaning bogs.

Q2.  Where would want to be in 5 years time?

Hmm, I change my mind like the wind changes direction on this one.  Most of the time I want to be back in England, but I think if we had more secure financial situation and a bigger house then I'd be happy still being here in Spain.  I would hope that in 5 years time my Spanish would be fluent and I could scrape by with a decent amount of Catalan.   Hopefully the family will have increased in number by one as well, with everyone in good health and happy.   I'd also like to be a size 10 again with a nice toned arse!

Q3.  What are 5 things on your 'to do' list today?

  • Iron some bedding for our Guest House
  • Meet a friend for Coffee this afternoon
  • Take Joseph to the playground after school
  • Prep food for a BBQ tonight
  • Drink lots of wine

Q4. What are 5 snacks do you enjoy?

  • Twiglets
  • Cadbury's Fruit & Nut
  • Stilton on a Hovis Digestive
  • Hot toasted crumpets with butter
  • Pork Pies
Obviously none of the above are available in Spain so if anyone wants to take pity on me and send me an emergency supply then please drop me a line....  *whistles*

Q5.  What would you do if you were a Billionaire?

I find the thought of having so much money quite obscene so I hope I never do become a billionaire, although I think it's a safe bet that I won't.  I wouldn't turn my nose up at say, 3 million though.  I would buy a beautiful family home and maybe a property in England as well.  Ensure my children are looked after for life and the rest of our families are financially secure and invest a bit. For treats I would buy lots of shoes and take fabulous exotic holidays.  I would give some away to my favourite charities and just relax in life knowing that you can live a comfortable life and not have to worry.  I would still be quite frugal though I think, it's my nature.

So now I need to tag 5 people to have a go at this as well...
